b_250_200_16777215_00___images_biogramy_zakrzewski-piotr.jpgIn 2005-2011 I studied in the Institute of Archeology, University of Warsaw, Poland. My MA thesis was dedicated to new methods and technologies in archaeological researches (Digital terrain models in archaeological practice of last years). Over the years I have been involved in few scientific projects, for example concerning mosaic pavement decorations from the private houses in Roman Ptolemais, Libya. I have also participated in several archeological excavations for instance in Libya (Ptolemais), Ukraine (Crimea), Bulgaria (Novae), and Kuwait (As-Sabbiya). My work concentrated on field documentation and geodetic surveys. I have also worked as trench supervisor. I am a member of archeological missions working at following archaeological sites: Roman legionary camp - Novae (Bulgaria), desert plateau As-Sabbiya (Kuwait) and Greek-Roman town of Akrai (Sicily). I am interested in Mediterranean archaeology of Greek and Roman periods, especially military and private architecture around the Roman Empire.
